 Chapter 8!
Yes, I know, I'm going ahead, but I want to finnish this book before summer. Here's chapter 8. http://krisse.tuna.fi/darkroom/dd_ch8.htmlWhen I started this chapter I didn't have any idea about Cross Processing or vintage images, but I have learnt so much just exploring Flickr.

 Re: Chapter 8!
Love your work.... the use of photo filters is great.. really picks up the image and adds light... the color interpretations is a bit too strong for my taste but interesting and certainly changes the image mood!!! the toning and tinting is amazing!!!! certainly my favorite.....
Will have to really look into the cross Process thing... not to sure what and where to use it.... maybe interesting as a base for painting...
My mind was a total BLOCK when I was in the states a few weeks ago.... didn't write down all the books I wanted and didn't buy any.... it was such a whirlwind trip.... and this book I DID want.... Carol

Thank you Carol. Quote: Will have to really look into the cross Process thing... not to sure what and where to use it.... maybe interesting as a base for painting... Yes, I think so too. It do really change the whole mood too. Try it and maybe you found out. Anyway it's a one more tool in your "skill box". Take a look at these two images I made using a little different cross process tutorial. They do base on this PDF tutorial. Actually there is two normal cross process and LAB cross process. http://www.photoshopforphotographers.co ... vie-06.pdfOh no, but does it really matter a lot, isn't it too expensive to order them by internet? You haven't post anything in long time into Flickr. I'm missing your drawings.

 Re: Chapter 8!
Like the second one very much, Krisse. Never got the chance to tell you that my school has closed as of the 24th of June. I am sad about it, but I will probably not work anymore away from home, which could mean more time for the things we do here

Thank you Joanne. Oh I'm sorry to hear that, but in the other hand I'm glad to get you back in here. I'm also sure you are going to be very busy woman even without the school.

 Re: Chapter 8!
Once one door closes, another opens Joanne and you sure do have a lot up that sleeve for sure. I feel sad for the kids though. I hope they aren't hurting too much over this. As for the painter class. Wooo I seen it and if I remember correctly, I need prior classes in order to join in. Painting is my favorite thing to do with images and I envy Carol for all that she has learned in the traditional aspect of it.

 Re: Chapter 8!
Bonnie, it si the beginning Brushes...this one http://www.lvsassociates.com/register/product_info.php?cPath=1_12&products_id=164Do you have Painter? This one only requires a basic understanding of the interface of Painter. I have that but really, with so many brushes, need to know more in that area. Looking forward.

 Re: Chapter 8!
That's the same course I did few years ago. file:///Users/k/Sites/paintbrush/index.html I thought you had done this, but maybe it was some other Painter brush course. You are going to love this course, at least I did. New Intuos tablet (4), how exciting. Keep on telling us how you like it. I'm still Wacom Graphire 2. Quote: Once one door closes, another opens Joanne and you sure do have a lot up that sleeve for sure. I agree Bonnie, that's how the life goes on. I'm also planning to spent next winter in Thailand. Leaving Finland in October and returning back in April. This last cold winter was awful and my RA didn't like it at all. Got asthma and all kind of trouble. It's a great opportunity to fix my teethes in half price, have great photo-shoots, making more photos to sale and start making diary on my blog. So next I need new camera+ objective and laptop for that travel. 24"iMac will be too big to take with. I'm glad about your Painter course. So lovely to see your works again. Why not to put them in Flickr and get some feedback.
